Quite a day today.

I got up out of bed and on my way at about midday.
Im still unwell in my tummy.
Since Jetboating got cancelled :( I instead went to the Christchurch Art Gallery, the Canterbury Museum and then the Christchurch Aquarium and Kiwi house.
Today I saw a Real Live Kiwi! He was running round quite a bit right infront of the glass. I even got really close to him up at the glass :D
I also did the rest of the tram circuit that I didnt do yesterday and took many a picture of the city.
I enquired into a Maori re-enactment and tradition dinner (hungi) but they weren't doing it tonite but they are next week when Im back but I land in a Chch at 5:30pm and you need to be in town by 6pm so I think thats a no go... oh well... it was $120 anyways... but it would have been cool!
Im getting the cranks with the wireless available in the hotel here... my uploading of pics keeps timing out! Right now I am even in the common area sitting below the wireless access point and its still weak as piss!
Ive booked my shuttle for the airport tomorrow morning. I'm off to Auckland at 10.30am to visit my nana for 2 nights! :D

Im so tired after today... I best go to bed early tonite :P

Oh and a BIG congrats to Nyssa who got the job in the Australian Consulate in Washington DC. SO JEALOUS! What a great opportunity! :D Im seriously considering moving up rooms again to Nyssas which has double built-ins and ensuite :D

Im really unwell.
Ive been unwell since yesterday morning.
I get chills and aches like the flu. So bad yesterday I swear I was about to seize up!
And oh boy I have the most amazing diarrhea.
Ive realised just now I havent had anything to eat since Sunday arvo at the airport.

Im not going Jet Boating today :( Unfortunately I was the only one that booked it today... the minimum is two people. Ahh well. I'll go on the tram again... take pics... go to the http://www.southernencounter.co.nz/ (Christchurch Aquarium)... go to the Art Gallery... theres plenty to do!

Today has been long :)
I got out of bed at midday - yay for rooms with no windows! Total darkness... I needed it!
Went to Vodafone and picked up a Voda sim... bloody hell they have no caps or anything over here!
Made my way to Christchurch Town Hall to catch up with my mums cousin. Its funny her calling my nana her Aunty :D Shes a school principal now and her school kids are competing in some kind of Rock Estedford tonite.
After Adele, I went back to the town square and bought a ticket for the tram ride and gondala package.
I rode the tram half the way round (I'll do the other half tomorrow) and caught a bus to the "Base Camp" of http://www.gondola.co.nz/





Unfortuneatly, there is only me booked on the Shot Over Jet tour tomorrow. The minimum is two people... they'll call me if someone else books tomorrow. Thats lousy :(
BUT I'll check out the Chch Art Gallery and other little places tomorrow. Oh and also the Chch Aquatic Centre. Like a little itty bitty underwater world.

I woke too late for brekkie this morning. And I actually havent had lunch today either. I got the most painful 'flu-like' pains this arvo... felt really unwell all arvo. Im actually in bed as I type... but I have to head out about 6.30pm to meet up with Adele to show her some pics of the family :)

Sure the rooms are tiny... I payed a tiny price...
BUT!
I cant set 5 different "mood light" colours in the shower... red, blue, green, orange and purple.



There is a blue fluro light lighting up under my bed.



Everything is white and bright and clean and crisp.
The toilet/shower is closed off my a big curved glass sliding door :D
Brekkie is only $8NZD tomorrow morning.

OH GOSH! There are 6 "mood channels" on the TV - stars, beach, rainforest, wood fire :D
This is a funky brothel almost!

I cant figure out the air-con though :(

Tomorrow I am meeting up with my mums cousin, Adele.
I havent seen Adele in about 19 years Id say! She was about 18 or 19 when I last remember her.
She is a school principal now. Her school is putting on a play in the Christchurch Town Hall tomorrow night so Im going to meet up during the arvo and hang out/help and go to the play.

All my flights are booked.
All my activities are booked.
All my accomadation is booked.

New Zealand here I come! :D

Departure times:
8:15am or 2:00pm
Its a 4-5hour trip.

Im concerned about the hangover factor if I go for the 8:15am and the light factor if I go for the 2:00pm slot!

AUGH!

Decided to stay with the 2pm booking... dont want to do it on a hangover!

So now thanks to this Visa card arriving I have booked my accomadation, Jet boating in Christchurch and Helirafting in Queenstown.
All I need now is a flight from Auckland to Wellington on the 23rd of May and another one from Queenstown to Christchurch on the 26th May.
YAY!

Oh gosh Kev and I drank a fair bit last night :D
Started at O'Tooles (the Local) for steak night.
I ate STEAK! Oh god it was good!!
Got a bottle of Green Apple flavoured Smirnoff, mixers and headed home.
Boy do we love the vodka!
At home we sat around and chatted with Nyssa and new flatmate Jay (wait for THAT post about him!), then as people went to bed, we started playing this AWESOME XBox 360 game called Scene It. Its like Buzz for the PS2 but so much harder! I lost all three games we played :( I'll get better... we're taking it to Deanies Saturday night.
Oh I am officially turning nerdgamergirl... I bought XBox Live points for my own account. Heh.

Well Im hoping the Boy wakes up soon :) I want $5.45 roast lunch at the pub! I think first up I'll walk Zeke up to the shop to get dog bones.

YAY!
My $750 Visa card showed up today!
This means I can book my NZ accomadation and activities!

HUGE stress lifted off my shoulders! :D

Very great night away down the coast.
Since Kev and I are both sans car we rendezvoud (sp?) at Central and caught the Gold Coast Express train to Helensvale. 3 hours, a train, quick shop and two bus rides later, we were at check-in at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Surfers Paradise. God bless wotif.com for cheap room rates :D
After a 2hr+ stroll along the beach we headed back to the room for me, a disco nap and Kev a spa, and then we went and had dinner at the Four Winds Revolving Restaurant atop Crowne Plaza Hotel. The food was LUSH! I ate prawns, crab, mussels, oysters, sushi, calamari - oh and then veal, roast veges... THREE different desserts! :D It was all buffet you see... and its 26 levels up and it rotates ever so slowly to give you a full 360` veiw of the GC Hinterland, ocean and up and down the coast :D
Oh we were as full as! But we'd bought a bottle of rum earlier in the night and decided to just go back to the room (via the games room for a quick Daytona match (Kev won) and Air Hockey (I won: 10 v 8)) and drink. Easy, simple, no fuss. :D
We put a fair dint in THAT bottle... I think about 3/4 of it gooooone.
A lot of laughs, chat and fun :D
Somewhere in there Kev asked me out :P and I said yes :D
We woke up really well in the morning considering the pre-dinner drinks, bottle of red over dinner and the rumbos till the wee hours. We had brekkie delivered ala room service style and lazed about till 11am which was checkout time!

Shopped about Surfers for an hour or so. I FINALLY found a new wallet... its a boys Billabong one but its purple. I couldnt find ANY decent girls wallets anywhere (which will fit in a back pocket).
Got home just after 2.30pm and promptly fell asleep. Im still so wrecked! Im hoping for an early night.

Im cooking my "Vege Gumbo" for dinner to perk up my vitamin and minerals.
I bought new smelly things for the house. I like nice smells.
My dad and brother are gossips.

Ive been working, working, working.
Its a bit hard finding my feet in Hardware. Im the little fish in the big pond again but I'll be back to full capacity in a week or so :D I have a good roster this month with no long stretches so Im happy with that :)
Stockwake out of the way again now for another 3 months.

My mouth is all good. No swelling left now.
The stitches are a little bit irritating at the moment cause the swelling is all gone, they feel in the way but will desolve over the next week or so.

GREAT news today on the money front!
My oral surgery came in at $1000 cheaper then I budgeted! (Only $1882.75) WHERE the .75c comes from I dont know! Heh. I dont now have a spare $1000, it means I dont have to FIND another $1000 and I can pay all my bill in one go (or two)
Also, cause I got 7 teeth out instead of 8 (therefore less time under general) I got $220 refunded back from the anethatist! Yay!

Last night Kev came over and we went to the local for steak night.
Oh yeah, screw shakes! Im eating! :D Just got to make sure I cut them up small enough. I still cant fang into a sandwich but I am eating solids.
ANYWAYS... So yeah... steak dinner. Mm mmm. I ate more than the fully toothed person! :P
Came back, watched SATC, went to bed, got up went to work. Easy.

I have tomorrow and Thursday off and I have just gotten an email from Kev he's booked a room down the coast so it looks like I'm heading down there tomm morning :D Yay I get away... I need it!

One week till braces :)

Well I fell for an April Fools joke... not a major one... infact Id call it lame!
On grabaseat.co.nz they advertised a competition to win flights and accomadation for two to an island called Tinihanga.
Well I googled Tinihanga after entering: its Maori for deceive or cheat. Hmm.

So today was the last of 9 days in a row at work. Its wrecked me and combined with my stresses and worries about tomorrow it didnt end on an overjoyous note.
I complained to the boss that top salespeople really shouldnt do 9 days straight.

So I think I have eating my fill of shit foods today. From midnight Im not allowed any food. Thats ok. I have to be at the hospital by 6.45am so at least I dont have all day to not eat.

Not a lot else really.
I should go pack my bag for the next few nights and make sure I have everything. I have to be up at 4am but I dont think that'll make me go to bed any earlier :P

I think I might book here for at least my first two nights in Christchurch...
