Stayed at my dads last night and watched the Australia V France game. Dads neighbour, Bob came over as well.
HAHA My dad has a Seniors Card now! Free coffee at McDonalds for Dad :D

After the game I lay in bed and watched Kung Fu Panda. Not too shabby at all for a cam job. 9/10 video 8/10 audio. I only got about half way through it before I started falling asleep.

Woke up today with NO headache - bizarre! Must know Im going back to work today? Oh wait - Dad says I dont have a headache today cause of the fab meal I was given last night - Ineke made a fish curry! It was really really yummy! :D

Last two days of the financial year. Tomorrow will be manic at work.

My nephew... he's special... in the bus kinda way :P



Nikki says he does that all by himself. No encouragement needed... hmm.

Today has been long :)
I got out of bed at midday - yay for rooms with no windows! Total darkness... I needed it!
Went to Vodafone and picked up a Voda sim... bloody hell they have no caps or anything over here!
Made my way to Christchurch Town Hall to catch up with my mums cousin. Its funny her calling my nana her Aunty :D Shes a school principal now and her school kids are competing in some kind of Rock Estedford tonite.
After Adele, I went back to the town square and bought a ticket for the tram ride and gondala package.
I rode the tram half the way round (I'll do the other half tomorrow) and caught a bus to the "Base Camp" of http://www.gondola.co.nz/





Unfortuneatly, there is only me booked on the Shot Over Jet tour tomorrow. The minimum is two people... they'll call me if someone else books tomorrow. Thats lousy :(
BUT I'll check out the Chch Art Gallery and other little places tomorrow. Oh and also the Chch Aquatic Centre. Like a little itty bitty underwater world.

I woke too late for brekkie this morning. And I actually havent had lunch today either. I got the most painful 'flu-like' pains this arvo... felt really unwell all arvo. Im actually in bed as I type... but I have to head out about 6.30pm to meet up with Adele to show her some pics of the family :)

So a lots been happening and not a lot at the same time.

Went to the Rugby last night to see a warm-up match of the Qld Reds V Auckland Blues. Auckland scored in the last 30secs and managed to win the game from that. There were SO MANY good looking fellas at the game! Mmm mmm. I went with Cameron (brother) and his mate Matt and Matts girlfriend, Cherie.
We got our supporters packs which had calenders, shirts and vouchers for programs each game. I also bought a Reds cap and lanyards for my members cards. The chicks merchandise is pretty awesome so I'll probably buy a polo next game (15th Feb)

I did come first for the month in BOTH turn over AND profit. I rock! Sacha keeps asking me questions and making statements that he has a feeling Im leaving him again. Ive told him I have no plans to leave him again until the end of the year or he moves on... which ever happens first.

I made my orthodontic and wisdom tooth appointments for Wednesday, only to discover that Im working Wednesday. So I had to reschedual! Uh-ohhh! So now my ortho appointment is for the 15th Feb... and get this... my wisdoms tooth one... 25th March!! thats AGES away! Sheesh!

This evening I booked my next holiday. 17th - 27th May in New Zealand. I have several friends over there now including Nana Shirley so I can try to see them all! $420 return... not too shabby. I figured that since I am committing to my wisdoms... and while I have this money now... I may as well book something so I definately do it. Now I have an ultimate goal time to lose weight!

Oh speaking of that... 4kgs in 3 weeks. Weigh in on Tuesday at work... that'll be the 4 week mark. I've managed not to take any pain killers today at all for my knees... they're feeling a stack better :)
Tomorrow night though there is the threat it can all come undone. We're being taken out for dinner by a supplier and there is a $2000 tab (food and alcohol). We've all picked out courses during the week and we've all gone hard on the food! Im getting a dozen oysters for entree and braised lamb shanks as a main. Im drooling already at the thought of it!

So Wednesday night I went over to my friend, Nikkii's house for catch ups... I havent seen Nikkii in over 4 or 5 years Id say :D We were firm friends when we worked at Top's in the Myer Centre.
Nikkii is now another friend I can add to my list who is married/owns house/with child - and in this case... she can tick all three boxes!
It was so good to see her! So many good memories (and blurry ones).
I stayed the night and headed back to home after lunch :)

Yesterday I made dinner which consisted of seventyleven different vegetables:
Carrot, zucchini, sweet potato, kumera, broccholi, cauliflower, baby corn, cabbage, mushrooms & asparagus.
All I did then was simmer them down in a coupe of cups of vegetable stock and a little bit of honey. Then I poached some chicken breasts in water and sliced and put on top of the vege :)
You know when you just feel lousy and you've been eating lots of crap and you need a pick me up? Well thats why I make this dish! Mmm mmmmm.

Cameron came over for dinner and we had a lot of laughs (mainly picking on Nikki :P) and we half heartedly watched the Simpsons movie as well as visiting the neighbours for a bit.

Day off today and then 6 days on... then 3 off. Looks like I have plans for an impromtu car trip next Sauturday night :D

So last night Nikki had Dad and Ineke over for tacos.
Also to check out the Christmas lights next door.

Dad announced to us all that he had asked Ineke to marry him... Umm dad... we saw your tears sook :P They WERE going to do it on Dads 60th but Ineke wanted that night to be all about his 60th... so they're going to get hutched in 2009.

Took the dogs for a dawdle round the ovals this morning... theres like 4 ovals/open park areas... The dogs love running around like loonies!

Eugh now I have to go clean and wash the dishes since not an inch of it got done last night! No rinsing, no putting away any left overs. No wonder there are so many flies in this house.

Im going to have a sleep over at my old friend, Nikkii's place tonite. Can't wait! Can't wait to catch up!

Long long day today.

WEnt out to some creek/camping ground out near Beerwah/Glasshouse Mtns armed with 2 salads for lunch with the family.
Spent a good couple of hours out there in the sun fending off Horse Flies and mozzies.
Went back to dads for a bit while Chris installed some stuff into Inekes PC.

Tonite I met my little bro at the Normanby for a couple of drinks.
Literally stayed there only two hours and am now home.
Ran into a couple of friends from Balgowlah (who I knew now live up this way) and an old mate Joey.

Home now, headachy and tired.

So I spent last night at my Auntys hanging out chatting and mucking with my cousins.
Today we went down to Hope Island and swam in the beach area that is "fenced off" from sharks and other nastys I hate that live in seawater.
I kept the sunscreen applied - every hour - to my tattoos! :P And my face... and a little top up to my arms. I also slathered on the good ol' coconut oil! Mmmm... Pork crackling here I come!
So my soulders are quite red and hot to the touch. Tomorrow I will be brown and Irish White Skin be gone!

So right now I am watching the ARIAs. One of the few award shows I can watch from beginning to end... and not get bored with
I mainly use the ARIAs to jot down "ideas" for "downloading".
I must say though... Bernard Fanning is looking A LOT better with his hair cut and styled. Mmm. And also... how cute them Operater Please kids? Awww.

Did everyone know that the 'C' word is included in the official Scrabble word lists? I could have played it earlier but I just couldnt bring myself to do it... Unless it was on the triple word score maybe?

Heh... I chased Nikki round the lounge before with a dead grasshopper clasped in a peg... she started crying... I almost pee'd my pants.

At the moment our broadband has been capped so I have been only really running my eyes over entries and Facebook. Bring on November the 1st!

My sister just threw the cordless at me to speak to dad... but because she throws like a [insert politacally incorrect word here] (mine starts with S) she missed where my hand was waiting and hit me square in the eye!

There was an almighty crack and Ive been holding ice to it...

I was in the Body Shop and I was THINKING I was going to but him a kid wash mitt.
So I handed it to him and then I was asking the lady about some products and we look at Cobey and he was CHEWING the eye threads off the mitt...

So I felt I HAD to buy it for him:

So today I looked after Cobey ALL day! ALL by myself!
Nikki left at 8am or something... then Chris left about 9 or something.

So then it was just Cobes and I... I couldnt get him to sleep... Im too much of a novelty. Instead we danced...
Put on headphones and repeated 'doof doof doof' over and over.
Played in the sandpit.
Played in the back yard
Played in the front yard
Read books
Ate sultanas
Changed a pooy bum
Caught a bus to Indro
Had lunch with a friend
Walked around Indro for 3 hours
Met Nikki at Indro

Exciting stuff... nothing exciting happened. Cobeys a great kid.
I bought some shower gel and knee-high, ankle high and feet stockings. Tweezers. Body shop something.

Well I see I havent done a real update in a while... so here goes...

The week and a bit that was...

SO I am now back at work. 3 days a week are ok but Im already itching for more. Its like I never left. There are 6 or 7 people that are still there from when I left in August 2005. A lot of the new people act very young and are very in their own click. Thats ok if Im not in it... means I get more work done and less dossing (Irish for bludging/slacking)
But Brisbane City is such a HUGE difference to Cork (Im talking HN - not the city). The information, the morale, the banter on the floor, the lack of fear... its so stressless!

Zeke is now back from being at the kennels (with Jam while Nikki was in Sydney for a few more days). Both the dogs think they are in utter heaven! They get chicken carcasses, chicken necks, dog bones and treats! Zeke is looking really really good! He's delighted to see me! We've started walking them at night... well with the storms the last couple of nights we only went for a short one tonite but its all good... a starts a start.

On Saturday I went to my ex-2ICs house for the night and drank a fair heap of Bundy Rum and just chatted and laughed and caught up... I watched the second half of the dissapointing Australia V England game and stayed the night.
Umm... do England actually have any skills? Or can they only kick for penalty points?
THEN I woke to the sad news that New Zealand also lost out in the Rugby World Cup :( What a sad way to start the day.

On Sunday I went and visited my Aunty and cousins. We got a STACK of food from my uncles work and also dog food and treats. Was great to see them... Zoe is growing up so much! Getting tall now!

This morning I got a fantastic call from Ireland from Oonagh and Colum. They were at a pub (Costigans?!) and there was a guy playing there that we know from Sober Lane and he was singing Roxanne.

But the buggers made me cry! I miss them! I think I may be Irish home sick! :( Oh and the guy in the band (who used to be our guy behind the bar at Sober Lane - the one who gave me free pizza every week) even said Hi to me! *sniff* I was tear-ing up at the bus stop! Lucky I had sunnies on!

Shana... you're still being a fecking spastic I see... just give it up already...
