So now thanks to this Visa card arriving I have booked my accomadation, Jet boating in Christchurch and Helirafting in Queenstown.
All I need now is a flight from Auckland to Wellington on the 23rd of May and another one from Queenstown to Christchurch on the 26th May.
YAY!

Oh gosh Kev and I drank a fair bit last night :D
Started at O'Tooles (the Local) for steak night.
I ate STEAK! Oh god it was good!!
Got a bottle of Green Apple flavoured Smirnoff, mixers and headed home.
Boy do we love the vodka!
At home we sat around and chatted with Nyssa and new flatmate Jay (wait for THAT post about him!), then as people went to bed, we started playing this AWESOME XBox 360 game called Scene It. Its like Buzz for the PS2 but so much harder! I lost all three games we played :( I'll get better... we're taking it to Deanies Saturday night.
Oh I am officially turning nerdgamergirl... I bought XBox Live points for my own account. Heh.

Well Im hoping the Boy wakes up soon :) I want $5.45 roast lunch at the pub! I think first up I'll walk Zeke up to the shop to get dog bones.

So I had a great Australis Day yesterday.

Started with the 10,000 Steps Walk which was actually 2,700 steps dawdle. Was an ok walk... just a bit slow. We finished it pretty quick withing the top 30 (out of a couple of hundred) but it was good to get out.

After that and getting home, I started to get ready to go to Nyssa's for her Australia Day BBQ. I arrived there about 11.30ish armed with my carton of Bundy and Drys, honey and rosemary lamb kebab sticks and almost 15ltrs of water.
Started off with all good intentions to get though at least HALF of my 24 cans, but them mixed with 'Death Punch' and a few mouthfuls of the 'King Cup' I only drank 7!! HAHA.
Oh and keep in mind I left about 7pm and was in bed for 9pm. I'd had my fill though!

Today at work was unbelievably dead! I made the most of it though getting as many sales as I could. I will be 1st for the month.

Oh and dinner just now was delicious! Ive never made couscous before and I didnt measure the water properly but it turned out perfect! I was very pleased! There is plenty left over for me for dinner tomorrow night :D

Oh Zeke seems to have a bit of a rash about his hind legs... better keep an eye on that over the next few days.

Good ol' N place.

Long long day today.

WEnt out to some creek/camping ground out near Beerwah/Glasshouse Mtns armed with 2 salads for lunch with the family.
Spent a good couple of hours out there in the sun fending off Horse Flies and mozzies.
Went back to dads for a bit while Chris installed some stuff into Inekes PC.

Tonite I met my little bro at the Normanby for a couple of drinks.
Literally stayed there only two hours and am now home.
Ran into a couple of friends from Balgowlah (who I knew now live up this way) and an old mate Joey.

Home now, headachy and tired.
:)

72... Global Wagamamas 72

Well well well.

Last night I went out for dinner with the gals from past and present HN Brisbane City. There was Trish, Heather, Kass, Vicky and myself.
We had dinner at Waggamamas in the Wintergarden and I was SO delighted that it is the exact same menu (right down to the wasabi chocolate mud cake) and I was able to get my ol' fave #72 (yasai katsu curry - slices of sweet potato, eggplant, zucchini and butternut squash deep fried in crispy panko breadcrumbs, served with a light curry sauce and japanese-style rice. garnished with mixed leaves and red pickles). Mm mmm
After a few bottles of white and many many laughs and old memories, we headed to the Cri(terion)... thinking it would be jammers... Yeah right! We had one drink there and decided to choof on to the casino!
What a BLAST! There were so many different people to laugh at! Watching old people dance is just hilarious! But I tell you what - I remember when you had to dress up to go to the casino... and last night we saw several people in trakkies and even a group of kids in their seniors jerseys!
Made friends with many drunkards and we all skipped out there about 1am for our homes. Naturally, I called Ireland. Different people this time.

Work today and I was struggling! But it was worth it! I finally did my first Flexirent today! Ahh I could feel the gold running through my veins! It was a good feeling :D :P

Tonite Nikki and I have finished watching The Wind that Shakes the Barley - again I sooked at the end. Then we donned a face mask (not a comical one - but a beauty one) each and got ready to watch Little Miss Sunshine which was really sweet. Oh - both with a rum each ;)

Now Im ready for bed... work tomorrow!

Head says yes... liver says no

So I am in the photolab today. I am dossing my heart out. We only do a couple of 1000 prints a day so I have spent a great deal of my day so far Facebooking or web surfing and emailing.

Last night I had a few brews after work with Heather. Then I went onto the Normanby to have many many rums with my brother.
I got picked up about 11pm I think - rather p-i-s-s-e-d.
Chatted about with plenty of Irish boys... was nice :)
Got home and decided to call about 3 or 4 overseas people... Poor Kev, Robert, Emma and Arlene.

I have set up speakers here at work and I have my iPod plugged in and Im bopping (and still dossing) away. Im listening to Britney Spears at the moment - her new ablum, Blackout. I really quite like it.

Tonite I have a trade do.
Today for lunch I had my favorite twin lunch dates David and Stephen.

The week that was

Nov 1st: Thursday I had the day off. I wasnt feeling well... I slept on and off all day

Nov 2nd: Friday... I cant remember. Oh thats right! Worked 12 hours. Went home. Went to sleep.

Nov 3rd: Worked all day.
Saturday night I went into the Valley and had thai dinner with [info]talluleh and her friends for her farewell. After that DELICIOUS thai food we went to the Elephant & Wheelbarrow for a drink - till someone dropped their guts in there - and then onto a Korean kareoke bar called Dont Tell Your Mama. SO MUCH FUN! I had many many rums and attempted to sing a few songs but had more fun watching Gemma sing her lungs out and rock out with her awesome air instument movements!

Nov 4th: Worked this day as well. Was a little itty bitty bit hung over. Did 10-4pm then precount for stocktate. Got out of there at about 7.30pm

Nov 5th: Got to work this day even though it was a day off. Went in at 11am and got away at 4pm. This was to chase up stocktake variances.

Nov 6th: Worked from 9am till 5.30 then did stocktake again. Got out just before 8pm and missed the 8.07pm train home. Had a quick drink at Grand Central with a few others that missed the same train.
Had a bet on the gee gee's. $2 Trifecta on 11, 9 & 1, $5 place on Purple Moon and $2 place on Railings. So I spent $19 on bets and won $9.. Meh.

Nov 7th: Today is a day off after 5 days in a row. Went out to Mt Ommaney and dawdled around waiting for Nikkis car tire to get fitted. Home now and shortly I am going to shed the winter warmth and shave my legs.
Tonite Nikki and I are going to aquaerobics.

Love my Bundy... oh and friends!

DRUNKIES!!!

Oct. 8th, 2007

Been a while...

Well I see I havent done a real update in a while... so here goes...

The week and a bit that was...

SO I am now back at work. 3 days a week are ok but Im already itching for more. Its like I never left. There are 6 or 7 people that are still there from when I left in August 2005. A lot of the new people act very young and are very in their own click. Thats ok if Im not in it... means I get more work done and less dossing (Irish for bludging/slacking)
But Brisbane City is such a HUGE difference to Cork (Im talking HN - not the city). The information, the morale, the banter on the floor, the lack of fear... its so stressless!

Zeke is now back from being at the kennels (with Jam while Nikki was in Sydney for a few more days). Both the dogs think they are in utter heaven! They get chicken carcasses, chicken necks, dog bones and treats! Zeke is looking really really good! He's delighted to see me! We've started walking them at night... well with the storms the last couple of nights we only went for a short one tonite but its all good... a starts a start.

On Saturday I went to my ex-2ICs house for the night and drank a fair heap of Bundy Rum and just chatted and laughed and caught up... I watched the second half of the dissapointing Australia V England game and stayed the night.
Umm... do England actually have any skills? Or can they only kick for penalty points?
THEN I woke to the sad news that New Zealand also lost out in the Rugby World Cup :( What a sad way to start the day.

On Sunday I went and visited my Aunty and cousins. We got a STACK of food from my uncles work and also dog food and treats. Was great to see them... Zoe is growing up so much! Getting tall now!

This morning I got a fantastic call from Ireland from Oonagh and Colum. They were at a pub (Costigans?!) and there was a guy playing there that we know from Sober Lane and he was singing Roxanne.

Same guy as in the background of this clip:

Thats Colum and of course me (and Oonagh laughing!!)

But the buggers made me cry! I miss them! I think I may be Irish home sick! :( Oh and the guy in the band (who used to be our guy behind the bar at Sober Lane - the one who gave me free pizza every week) even said Hi to me! *sniff* I was tear-ing up at the bus stop! Lucky I had sunnies on!

Shana... you're still being a fecking spastic I see... just give it up already...
